| NGC Gas Rush Game Show - Laughter, learning, and prizes, prizes, prizes! | |||
| Quick: What are natural gas transmission lines made of? Which country is the largest exporter of ammonia and methanol from a single site in the world? How many carbon atoms does an ethane molecule have? If you answered steel, Trinidad and Tobago, and two, and you're currently attending secondary school, maybe you should be playing NGC’s Gas Rush game. NGC's Gas Rush is part game show, part learning experience, all fun. This dynamic game exploded onto the scene at the NIHERST SciTechKnoFest earlier this year, when thousands of students flocked to NGC’s booth to take each other on in a game of natural gas knowledge. All in all, 173 schools participated, which was beyond our wildest dreams. We at NGC have always been eager to share what we know about the natural gas industry with others. Since we've always placed a special emphasis on the youth of the nation, we wanted the part of our education programme aimed at secondary schools to be as dynamic as teenagers themselves. We wanted something that would capture your attention and get your blood pumping. We wanted to make learning about natural gas so much fun you would hardly even know you were doing it. What better way than a game show? Think about it: heart pumping, supporters roaring, and questions coming at you like balls from a tennis ball machine set on ‘High’. Can you hit the buzzer before your opponent does? More importantly, can you get the answer right? |
We expect to hold the Prelims for Gas Rush early in 2009, and we’ll be inviting all secondary schools in Trinidad and Tobago to take part. Our Gas Rush team will be visiting your schools in November to give out competition material. See Photos>> |
