Member of the Board, Dr Cheryl A. Bennett told the athletes that NGC
chose to sponsor the Carifta Games because it is marketed as a means
of holistic development for youth. She shared that NGC’s
vision to inspire and positively change young lives through sport
matches the goal NGC has for its nationals. She also singled
out the six team members who participated in NGC Right on Track
Programme.
Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Sport & Youth
Affairs, Mr Ashwin Creed, congratulated the team on its improved
medal count and challenged them to improve their haul in line with
the Jamaicans.
All athletes received gift certificates from NGC and got a
chance to chat with members of Board, management and staff.
Also in attendance were representatives from the Sport
Company of Trinidad and Tobago, National Amateur Athletics
Association of Trinidad and Tobago, NGC executive management
and NGC Sports Club.
