Projects 2008
For 2008, various projects have been
planned for completion or start-up of these, three have been
completed. These are:
the refurbishment of existing NIHERST Kiddiplay Houses, and
upgrading of recreational grounds at Gran Chemin, Moruga and
Lower Barrackpore.
By the end of this year, we also hope
to undertake or complete the following projects:
- Phase 3
of the Helena Charles Home for Senior Citizens
- Upgrade
and extension of the Guayaguayare Community Center
- Construction of PSL (Police,
Scouts and Lions) headquarters in Couva
- Upgrading
of the St. Mary's recreational grounds
- Works on the Mon Desir and Woodland Community Centers
- Completion of the Couva Joylanders Pan Theater
- Development of playing facilities at the St. François Girls' College
- Development of the CALDRAC Recreation Facilities in Dow Village,
California
- Erection of administration and storage facilities and general
upgrading of existing building at the Phillip’s
Children's Home in Couva
- Refurbishment
of the New Life Ministries Drug Rehabilitation Centre in
partnership with PPGPL, Petrotrin and the Living Water
Community.
- Re-paving
of existing Basketball Court and construction of Cricket
Nets at Basse Terre Recreation Ground
- SERVOL Phase II, Section II
(Youth Link, Meeting Room and Thrift Shop Relocation).
