Our Community Facilities Programme is part of NGC's
overall Socio- economic Development Program. Through this
program we deliver a range of projects to enhance the social
infrastructure in communities, particularly those adjacent
to our pipelines.

The Guayaguayare Community Centre to be relocated
|
We work in collaboration with these communities, often with
the support often with the support of governmental bodies to
build or refurbish facilities for the following purposes:
- Training and Education
- Community Development
- Arts and Culture
- Social Services
- Sports and Recreation

Projects
accomplished to date
Among the projects
completed since the inception of our socioeconomic
development program in 2005 are:

Construction of pavilions at Hillpiece, Woodland and Ghandi
Recreation Grounds in the Penal/Debe area

Construction
of a pavilion at Basse Terre Recreation Grounds in the
Moruga area

Construction
of the Ste. Madeline Multi-Purpose Hard Court
-
Re-roofing,
ceiling and painting works at the Leonard Cheshire
Foundation Home in Pleasantville

Configuration and
upgrading of an existing building for the start up and
continued operations of the
Servol Regional Life Centre, La Brea, which includes the
provision of classrooms for the Adolescent Development
Programme, Computer Literacy, Food Preparation and
Catering, Electrical and Beauty Culture courses

The construction of
the Helena Charles Home for Senior Citizens (phases I&II
i.e.: foundation and superstructure block work completed)

Refurbishment works at
the Fyzabad and Guapo Police Stations

Re-location of the
Guayaguayare preschool from the existing Community
Centre to allow upgrading and extension works on the
centre, which are currently in progress

Refurbishment of the
Cap de Ville and Lot Ten Community Centres

Kanhai Trace South Recreation Ground upgrade

Construction of additional Kiddiplay Houses at the NIHERST/NGC National
Science Centre.
